A Note from Superintendent Chuck Sincere

Welcome Students, Staff and Families to the 2017-18 school year:

This will be another exciting school year at Springfield Local Schools. I would like to express what a privilege it is to lead a district dedicated to providing an enriching learning environment for our students. On Monday, August 21, teachers, and support staff start their first day back.

Just like the start of every new school year, this year brings with it a sense of excitement and enthusiasm. Each year, before the start of school, I visit all buildings.  As I make my visits, I instantly feel the familiar comforts of the beginning of a new school year. Our buildings, thanks to the efforts of our custodial and maintenance staff, look great. The sounds of the Springfield Spartan’s marching band are heard and student athletes, coaches, administrators and secretaries have all returned.  Inside, we see teachers in classrooms making final preparations to welcome students and ensure a successful start to the year.

As we prepare for our student’s first day of school on Wednesday, August 23, we are mindful of the importance of dedication, tradition, and pride.  Together with teachers, parents, students and staff, we will continue our tradition of quality education for students.

On behalf of the Springfield Board of Education, we wish the entire Springfield family an exciting and successful school year.

Go Spartans!

Chuck Sincere
