I am a lead mentor teacher for Springfield & enjoy mentoring new teachers as well as my students. I am excited to be teaching at Roosevelt this year.
I am delighted to be starting my second year teaching kindergarten for Springfield Local School District. I pursued a career in teaching later in life and it was the best decision I ever made. I substitute taught for the district during the 2011-2012 school year before becoming employed as a kindergarten teacher. I have a B.A. in Sociology from Boston College and a M.S. in Criminal Justice from American University. I obtained my licensure in Elementary Education from George Mason University, in Fairfax, Virginia. Outside of class I enjoy watching college football and exploring the Metro parks with my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Bailey. I love working with the students and staff of Springfield Local School District. I am really looking forward to another great school year.
