Springfield Local Schools provides Wi-Fi access to students. This access is filtered and recorded. None of this data is tracked or recorded off campus. Using this access requires a certificate to be installed on the device as well as sign in to your shs.springfieldspartans.org account.
After connecting to SP-BYOD wireless, follow the directions that pertain to your device to install the certificate. After installing, you may need to restart your phone/device.
Android Devices (phones and tablets) Currently not functioning - Please Note - You must have a screen pattern lock or password on your device to be able to do this.
Download the certificate from here. Open with defaults.
At the Name the certificate screen give the certificate a name (whatever you like) and press the OK button.
iOS Devices (iPad/iPhone)
Download the certificate here within Safari.
Click on the downloaded file and press the Install button.
You will be prompted with a warning message that says, "Installing this profile will change settings on your iPad." Press the Install Now button.After Installing the profile go back to your home screen and click on settings, from here click on general and scroll down to about, once here scroll down to the bottom and click on Certificate trust and turn the securly slider to the on position.
Mac (OS-X)
Download in the installer from here.On the linked page. There are three options on the bottom of the page. Click the link for the Securly_SHA-256.crt file.
Go to you downloads. and open the Securly SHA 256 file you just downloaded.
This will open up in Keychain Access, Click on Add
Double click on *.securly.com, Click on arrow next to Trust
On the top drop down menu select Always Trust and then exit out of this window
Enter in the computer password
For FireFox on Mac (OS-X) download the certificate here.Open FireFox
Click on FireFox in the top left hand corner.
Click Preferences
Click Advanced on the left corner *** If this is not an option on your version go to the Privacy and Security tab then scroll down to the Certificate section.
Click View Certificates
Click Import
Go to you downloads and find the file named securly_SHA-256.crt that was downloaded above.
Click Open
Click the box that says "Trusted for websites"
Click ok and restart FireFox
Windows PC
Download the installer for Chrome here and for Firefox here.
Run the installer - you need admin rights on your device to do this.
