VIII. PERSONNEL
1. It is recommended
that Frank Chenoweth be employed 50%, with no benefits, as Audio/Visual
Director for the 2002-2003 school year.
2. It is recommended
that the following be employed for home instruction, on an as needed basis,
effective the first day worked.

5. It is recommended that the following be

6. It is recommended that the resignation
of Bernice Walker as a 2-hour cafeteria worker at Lakemore Elementary School be
accepted, effective March 15,2002:
7. It is recommended that Doris Cutright
be employed as a replacement 2-hour cafeteria worker at Lakemore Elementary
School, effective April 8, 2002:
8. It is recommended that Joshua Harris be
employed as a short - term substitute teacher, effective the first day worked:
9. It is recommended that Michelle Zarges
be approved as a volunteer assistant track coach.
10. It is recommended that teacher Charles Young
receive $20 per hour for providing 6th - grade Proficiency Intervention on Prep
Nights held after school during February. Stipend to be paid from Parity
Aid Grant Funds.
11. It is recommended that teachers Karen Pavlak and
Tricia Williams receive $5000 for participating in Marilyn Burns summer
workshops as pilot math teachers for the 2002-2003 school year. Stipend to be
paid with grant funds.
12. It is recommended that each of the following
educators receive $20 per hour for curriculum work related to math and language
arts. The main focus will be to develop course content, guidelines, and staff
development to implement the new Ohio Department of Education language arts and
math standards, refine Circle Reading and math Investigations programs.

13. It is recommended that Lori Bogunovich, a 50% teacher,
be employed at 100%, effective March 18, 2002. This is a replacement position.
IX. SUBSTITUTE PAY RATE
It is recommended that
the substitute teacher pay be increased to $75 per day.
X. RESOLUTION FOR THE REVISED TAX-EXEMPT
LEASE WITH BANK ONE
It is recommended
that the resolution for the revised tax-exempt lease with Bank One be
approved as presented in Exhibit 3.
XI. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT WITH DELOITTE
CONSULTING
It is recommended
that Springfield Local Schools enter into an agreement with Deloitte Consulting
to administer the Ohio MAC reimbursement program for the district. (This
program is similar to the CAFS program but for non-special education
students.)
XII. EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS OAPSE
#530 CONTRACT
It is recommended that the Board go into executive session to discuss OAPSE
#530 contract.
XIII. APPROVAL OF NEW CONTRACT WITH OAPSE
#530 ( OHIO ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC SCHOOL EMPLOYEES)
It is recommended that a new contract with OAPSE #530 (Ohio Association of
Public School Employees) effective April 9,2002, through August 31, 2005, be
approved.

Regular Meeting April 9, 2002
I. Personnel:
1. It is recommended that the following contract be
non-renewed:
Charles Young- Schrop Special Education
2. It is recommended that the retirement resignation of
Lakemore Elementary School teacher Olga VanDerlin be accepted, effective July
1, 2002.
3. It is recommended that Tim Smith be employed as a
substitute teaching assistant, effective the first day worked.
II. APPROVAL OF PARTICIPATION IN TITLE PROGRAMS
It is recommended that Springfield Local Schools will participate in all Title I, Title II, Title IV, Title VI, and Title VI R programs for the 2001-2002 school year.
