April 29th is the date set at this time for the Community Day Event

Lakemore is planning the event this year (Springfield Fire and Trustees planned in 2005)

SSAF decided to keep the April 29th date and participate with the Community Day event

rather than planning a separate event.

Carla Shackelford on behalf of the Athletic Boosters may be willing to conduct a BINGO

event on the same day in a tent and share profits with the SSAF

Music in the evening was proposed

QUESTION raised:

Are Board of Trustees liable for injuries at sponsored events?

            Rich Honeck response:

We cannot be sued as individuals just because we are members of the board.

If an individual at the event itself causes some type of harm – then someone could sue that person.

                        Vendors carry their own insurance.
