Jorge Rodrigues personally donated funds to cover the
costs of the 501-3C processing.

is planning the event this year (Springfield Fire and Trustees planned in 2005)

Are Board of Trustees liable for injuries at sponsored
events?
We cannot be sued as individuals just because we are
members of the board.
If an individual at the event itself causes some type
of harm –
then someone could sue that person.

Discussion regarding Paul and Linda Doerr would make a donation in relation to
their Quick Clean Car and Pet Wash.
Coupons would be used and then donate $1.00 to SSAF for every coupon
used. No action was taken. Only discussion at this time.
Discussion regarding the $250 donation from Lucky Nugget. Since some may view the Lucky Nugget as
not appropriate to support SSAF, and vote was taken on if the donation should
be accepted. Dan Yost motion for a
vote of acceptance. Tabitha Cunningham
seconded.
The
vote was as follows:

Discussion
was conducted regarding if the vote was allowed since a quorum of the trustees
was not present. Jorge is
consulting with Rich Honeck regarding the issue. Trustee not present may be asked via e-mail to cast their
vote regarding the acceptance of the donation. The check will not be cashed until a final vote is
conducted.
Requests
from corporations will be made after 501-3C has been received.

SSAF cannot
make a donation as a foundation.
Any entity holding a 501 – C3 is not permitted to donate to a
political issue.

finalized and then flyers available to public.

$100 per person to golf (144
golfers desired) = 38 foursomes
Will have prizes for various
categories (example longest drive, closest to pin, etc.)
Box lunch on course and
steak dinner provided for golfers and drawing for prizes
Goodie bags with donated
items and visor, towel, etc. will be created for each golfer
